Fishing

Well the fishing trip was a resounding success to a couple of five year olds. the tides must have been just right. They caught about five mangrove snapper apiece plus they managed to boat one small redfish. All were thrown back.

Well our annual new years eve dinner has been cancelled. It is the first time since we moved here that we are not having a fancy steak dinner at our house. My mother and her boyfriend have other plans, and my in-laws decided that they have had enough of any type of company. And our friends from Georgia totally blew us off (guilt, guilt, guilt!). So instead my wife and I are using our Outback gift card and going to a movie while Grandma watches the boys. I might even be forced to watch a chick-flick, ugh!

Looking forward to the big ride tomorrow.
Well there will be no riding today. Instead we are taking the kids fishing. The plan however is a 50+ mile ride tomorrow. A couple of guys are going to turn it into a century. If I fell good, I may try as well. It would be my first century. My current max distance is 70 miles.

Back in the saddle

Well I think I'm back into it. I hope I stay inspired. We rode 30 miles at Boyette today. The last five were tough and it was all I could do to hang on to the group. Man, I'm out of shape. Nothing outstanding happened.

First one

Well this is my first blog post. I plan on using this as a sort of journal. I figure that if I don't have cycling related info to post, that I will feel so guilty and I'll have to get off my ass and ride. Hopefully it will be interesting and funny. And hopefully I will continue to update the blog as well as continue to ramp up my training and try to hit my goals this year. We'll see what happens.
