Vacation is Over

Our trip to the Florida Keys was successful and much needed. Everyone had fun and we caught fish. Now it's back to reality and the daily grind of work. I've been newly inspired to train for the upcoming mountain bike season. My wife has also been recently ultra supportive and says she will make sure I ride the trainer three times per week.  That, along with my normal rides, will give me five times a week on the bike. I hope I keep up with the commitment. If I do, I should be in great shape by race season.

This week I've already ridden saturday morning, then one hour on the trainer on sunday, then last night on the mountain bike. I feel pretty good this morning.

I installed the new sliding glass door yesterday afternoon. $176.55 for the replacement glass. What a pain in the ass!

Actually I thought it was going to be a lot more. Still, an extra unexpected expense is never fun . . .

Pick up the kids today for their visit. They'll be here through 6/30 with a weekish break in the middle to visit my parents. I'm going to try and make a concerted effort to get in at least a shortish road ride every morning before everyone else gets up. Given that it's light enough to ride at 6a now I should be able to knock out at least my 12 mile loop.

If I knew how to post a pic on here I'd put a pic of some of the fish from the weekend . . .
